About Levine AcademyAt Levine Academy, we believe that teaching a child takes more than just the right books and classroom time. It takes teachers who can instill a love of learning and nurture each child to reach his or her potential, and caring adults who lend their support when it's needed — but also know how and when to let a child explore new ideas on his or her own. Embracing the sciences, humanities, mathematics, Jewish studies, Hebrew language, the arts, computer science, and physical and health education, our curriculum lays a strong foundation for a liberal education and a lifetime love of learning. To nurture each student's natural curiosity and sense of wonder, our instructors emphasize critical and intuitive thinking, analysis, and creative problem-solving. While Levine Academy is about education, it's also about teaching our students to become caring and compassionate people who will make a difference in tomorrow's world. In preparing our students for such a journey, our school and all of its teachings rest on a solid foundation of Inspiration, Knowledge, and Character. Inspiration — At the heart of Levine Academy's success is our award-winning faculty. Our 5-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio builds strong bonds between teacher and student which encourages and supports our students toward academic excellence and social success. Knowledge — Our secular and Judaic curriculum challenges our students to maximize their academic potential resulting in more than mastery of content. They develop tools for self-learning, analytic thinking and the courage to question and probe in their search for the truth. Our graduates are well prepared to succeed in high school and beyond. Character — In our family-like atmosphere, students from diverse ethnicities and backgrounds, bond as a community of creative, responsible, and caring individuals. Our Ethical Covenant provides the core values that are central to our school's philosophy — responsibility, respect, justice, citizenship, caring, holiness and integrity. These are traits we hope become an integral part of our students' character |
